Laura volunteers for Laura's famous taco night, held every Thursday at VFW Scottsdale.
VFW Post 3513 is run entirely by volunteers from the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary. Members cook, clean and organize our functions. You can volunteer almost every day or help a few times a year.
VFW Scottsdale performs many community service projects. We provide assistance to needy veterans and their families. We raise money for cancer research, scholarships, and local charities.
An Auxiliary member washes a man's hair at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul haircut marathon in Phoenix. Some of the charity's patrons are homeless veterans.
The VFW Thunder Mountain Riders motorcycle group sponsors a unit of the Sea Scouts, a program of the Boy Scouts of America.
The Thunder Mountain VFW Riders and the Post 3513 Honor Guard present the flag at patriotic ceremonies. They also perform military honors during funeral services for veterans.
